More than just adventure motorcycling

BBB or Boots, Boats and Bikes is put together by Nick and Ivanka with the occasional guest feature from their friends.

We are two thirty something professionals who regularly look for adventures and this site has been drawn together mainly so they can keep in touch with their friends and family while fitting in the odd adventure here and there. The site came about as a means of keeping in touch with people, prior to their ‘top to bottom of the world trip in 2011′ which was mainly about adventure motorcycling; however it is also about Boots, Boats and Bikes.

What’s great about this site too is that we can give our honest opinion on any gear we use so we can let people know what we think from a practicality point of view so we will write regular reviews.

Hi guys, if you are coming by Salina Cruz in the “Istmo de Tehuantepec” in Oaxaca/ Mexico Iván and I will be happy to welcome you, if you don´t mind sleeping on the floor. There are beautiful, virgin beaches around here and little explored Zapotec ruins amongst other treasures. Greetings from Uli (via Beth Bell) and Iván

Hey guys… just got turned on to following your road trip. My wife and I are avid GS riders here in central New Mexico. If you are rolling through Santa Fe / Albuquerque let is us know… we’d be glad to put you up, get you some epic southwest riding to our favorite Nativie American ruins, and relax with some home made margaritas and green chili chicken enchiladas. Stay safe and have a great time! Cheers, Brett and Racheal

  10. Hi Ivanka and Nick too!
Got to know about you through the Ubuntu Design Blog!
Thanks for your contribution in creating such a wonderful OS. I am a big fan of open source movement, especially Ubuntu!
And I am even more happy to know that you guys have been to everest base camp.
Me , being a citizen of Nepal, am yet to go there. Such a shame!. hehe.
Btw, if you guys loved everest base camp , you should definitely trek the Annapurna Base Camp route as well. It is very well known around the world.

    Best Wishes,

  14. Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research about this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I’m very glad to see such wonderful information being shared freely out there.
